I tend to go for the Citrus & Trees. I love the Wild Orange, Citrus Bliss & Lemon for their uplifting and motivating benefits.
Flowers: Reach for floral oils as they contain powerful benefits to healing and improving the overall appearance of your skin. They can reduce the appearance of fine lines, spots, scars, and any dry skin irritations.
Trees: Reach for the tree oils when looking to provide muscular/inflammation/pain relief. Think Frankincense, Cypress, and even Copaiba. These oils have a unique ability to affect muscles and connective tissue to support muscular function on a cellular level.
Herbs: These oils contain anti microbial, antibacterial, antiseptic and antiviral properties. Applying them topically or taking them internally will help bring the immune system back to balance and keep you healthy. Cinnamon, Oregano, Black Pepper are top oils in this category.
Citrus: Looking for some mood support? Turn to citrus oils. They have a unique way of providing a calming yet uplifting effect to your mind and body. Add Wild Orange to your water for emotional support throughout the day. Or diffuse Bergamot for the ultimate stress relief.
I am a recovering Yankee Candle addict. I burned candles all the time. From the minute I woke up until I went to bed. Even forgot about them and left the house. Thank God I never burned the house down.
So how does an avid candle user stop? Oils & Education. I love my essential oils for their support of our health & emotions. And I love them for their yummy smells. You can support your health, clean the air, and uplift your mood all with diffusing oils. But the kicker was the education. Learning how toxic candles are to our health is what made the switch so easy. I would never intentionally harm my families health. And for years of burning candles that is exactly what I was doing. Polluting our home with chemicals and who know what else. When we know better we do better, right?

Here are my favorite diffusers. Both have on/off light options and shut off automatically when they run out of water. So no worries with burning down the house like with candles. The Petal is much more pleasing to the eye. But I have & use both.
Emotional Aromatherapy? I started diffusing so the house smells good. But now I also make myself & other feel better too.

This time of year seems to bring many of us into a place of anxious feelingsTrying to meet our own & others expectations is challenging. Now it doesn’t have to stay that way!

We are suppose to drink lots of water every day. Whatever your weight is in lbs, you divide that number in half and that is how many ounces. Dang! That’s many ounces for me. So I add doTERRA essential oils to healthfully flavor my water and assist in boosting my immunity.
One of the many items I rely on are cleaning wipes. They are so useful, ready when needed and with a houseful of family and pets they are always needed. Once I read what was in my cleaning wipes I knew I had to find a better option. I love my essential oil so why not give them a try. I made these and fell completely in love. They are safe, toxic free, work great, smell fantastic and big surprise….super easy to make and much less expensive than store bought chemical filled cleaning wipes I have been using for years.
- Cut paper towel in half with a serrated knife. Use half now and half later.
- Remove and discard cardboard tube. Place in Glass or Stainless Steel Leak-Proof Container.
- Combined water, Oils and Hand Wash in a small bowl
- Pour mixture over paper towel and cover with air tight lid for 10 minutes
- Pull wipes from center when ready to use.
Everywhere you look you see or hear about essential oils now. I grew up using essential oil so they are very common for me. I use them and was able to replace the contents of my medicine cabinet, all my cleaning products (turns our they were loaded with toxins), all our personal care items, and even our pet care products. Yes, you can use essential oil safely with your pets. Well, at least one specific brand.
Now that people want essential oils they are available everywhere. I mean everywhere. Like even at Walmart & the Dollar Tree. Don’t get fooled. Essential Oils are not created equal. Most of them aren’t even real and those that are contain unwanted ingredients like pesticides, fungicides and fillers. After much personal research I found that doTERRA goes to the extreme and does 3rd party testing to give you the most potent and highest quality essential oils on the market. That is why I only use doTERRA.
I use the oils Aromatically in my diffuser. You just add water and a couple drops of your choice oil. Right now I am diffusing OnGuard & Citrus Bliss. They smell so yummy together and boost our immunity and uplift our moods. The kiddos are home on break so staying healthy & happy is a must.
I also use many oils topically. I dilute them safely with fractionated oil in a roller bottle. My favorite rollers change often depending on my mood or how I am feeling physically. Deep Blue is my best friend when my sciatic acts up. But most days I am addicted to Jasmine. It smells amazing and I use it as my perfume. If you only knew what was in your store bought perfumes. It is disgusting! I used to love my store bought perfumes. I spent a lot of money on them and wore them sparingly. I wish I had know better. I would have saved a ton of money and avoided so many toxins.
The 3rd way to use your essential oils is internally. This is not the first choice for most. Not sure why people are so cautious. They drink glitter and coat their skin with fake fragrances, and eat processed fast food but ingesting a plant stops some in their tracks. I have always ingested and raised my kid ingesting essential oils. I take oils internally every single day. Still here and feeling fabulous!
